Privacy policy

BlockChain Lion is run by Federico De Faveri (De Faveri Consulting, Miami, Florida). This page explains what the site collects and why.

What is collected

The site uses Google Analytics 4 to count readers and see which posts are useful. It records the pages you view, how you arrived (for example a search engine or a link), links you click that lead to other sites, scroll depth, your browser and device type, and your approximate location (country and city, derived by Google). Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy.

The site has no accounts, comments, forms or newsletter, and shows no ads. Advertising features and ad personalization are switched off.

Cookies and consent

Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (named _ga and _ga_*) to tell visits apart. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, these cookies are only set after you choose Allow in the banner; until then Google receives only cookieless, aggregated signals. Elsewhere they are set by default.

The site also stores two small settings in your browser, which never leave your device: your light or dark theme choice, and your cookie choice.

You can also block Google Analytics on all sites with Google’sopt-out browser add-on.

Links to other sites

Posts link to other websites, including De Faveri Consulting, my own company. Those links carry campaign tags (utm_…) so that site can tell a visit came from here. Other sites have their own privacy policies.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access or delete data about you. Because the site never learns who you are, analytics data can’t be tied to you by name. For any question, use thecontact page at De Faveri Consulting.
